Ariane V on its launch site

It might seem real but it is just a model (about 6 meters high, though) ! I shot it at an exhibition about space engineering applications by the CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales), the French equivalent of the NASA.

Ariane V is the most powerful rocket used to send satellites in space. Operated by the ESA (European Space Agency), it is about 50 meters high, weights about 750 tons and is about to lift a maximum payload of 21 tons.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that yesterday there has been 2 years that I opened my Flickr gallery ! Happy birthday to my gallery 😉
